Quad Core you noob.
First one is Duo second is quad, you take maths? 2x2.22=4.44, 4x2.22=8.88 The bigger the better.

Also, seocnd one is cheaper, and for 800bucks that a major steal. It has one of the best Grafix cards, everyone says the 8500, 8600 GT and GTX are the ebst. Even better than the new 9500 and 9600GT. The other is 8400, not bad either. Gtrafix card wise, its even.

2nd one you get a bigger HDD, 500GB > 390GB...... 2nd one also has your 4GB Ram. Get the 2nd One.

Lol @ KEYBOARD, MOUSE, POWER CABLE, It has to come with power cable. Would be stupid to sell the whole thing and not the power cable.

second one for sure, but ..... but, I heard that because there are not a lot of programs and operating systems fully optimised for quad core process, that say windows becomes slower because it trys to assign tasks to each CPU but freaks out and then uses a shitload of you ram and processing time just to do simple things and because of that it causes the dual cores to run faster. Also if you get the second one make sure that the windows vistat that is installed is a 64bit version and not a 32bit version, otherwise you will most defenitely have the problem i stated before.

I would go for the 900 dollar one.

However, would not get Vista on any of them unless u have to HDD. Get one wiht Vista for all your Documents and school work etc

use Windows XP for gaming, vista has blocked some things for example you cant use cd cracks and keygens on vista. Theyve become bitches and by doing that they hope to make more money by making the new games only on vista the cheap sacks.

try get one of those (preferribly the 900dollar one) wihtout Vista. Just my opinion tho

Haha right o let me help out.

Well thats not true, it doesn't work out like that. Quad Core is'nt better than Dual Core at the moment, nearly all Dual Core or Duo Core will kick a Quad Cores ass! Only if you overclock it the right way and get the right one

If i was you i would go the Dual core and overclock the shit out of it!

Graphics card, well the 8400 is an old seris of the 8000 series. Any 9000 Series will kick its ass, especially the new 9800GTX something something, that thing rapes!!!!

But not as hard core as mine.

The 8400 will play your games with ease, but if you want to play more hardcore games that require more graphcis power your gona need to upgrade.

With the first ocmputer you say there, thats not a bad PC there, fair price for a fair PC. But the Dual core in it is one of the older ones....

You would get more out of the Quad Core later on than the dual core... That dual core is, alright, but that quad core is better...

WIth those 4 Pc's there all pretty fair priced fair powered up PC's.

Whats your budget?

And Ive got Vista and i use CD Cracks and Keygens, i download Movies and games... but my Vista is a fake... :S LOL!

Ikky tell me your budget and ill make a PC, using parts from www.pricepoint.com.au and ill meet your budget.... then you get all the parts sent to you and get your local PC man to install them for $60... or send them to me and ill get them installed for you... then send the box back up to you....

Up to you...

IF i was to choose one of thsoe Computers it would have to be theeeee....

No no no...Dont go believing that bullshit that a 2.5GHz quad core means 10GHZ(sorry nah) Its the clock that matters not the amount of cores.

IE..My cpu at 3.6GHz will beat hans quad at 3GHz.

Anyway, How much are you looking to spend?

Well what u say goes agsint pretty muhc what all of my mates (computer freaks and one of their brothers that works for Xtra) have said.

I asked them when i was thinking of building my computer what i should get (gave them some options) and they told me to go for the Duo (cheaper than quad) and the one that would end up with more ghz.

Wouldnt overclock, can screw up. Friend overclocked grafix card i think and it buggerd,.

No it means you have multiple smaller cores that add to 2.5 Ghz. But a 2.5 Ghz Quad will be better than a 2.5 dual etc. The more cores means it can handle a few more calculations at a time.

BUT not all Quad Cores are better... well most of them are pretty shit unless you get like the top of the range...

Theres a Dual core, Intel Dual-Core E9850 3.2Ghz something something, and you can overclock it to 4.2Ghz and thats better than any Quad Core out there... and its cheaper... might get a bit hot, but meh, water cooling for teh win

heck who needs quad core when you can get Decacore (10CPUS! Laughing )
